Tasha Taylor Johnson
Tasha is a versatile composer, lyricist and writer and performer. Most recently, she has been shortlisted for the Cameron Mackintosh Resident composer Scheme at The Leicester Curve and her comedy musical Cult! has been selected as a winner of the From Page to Stage new musical theatre worldwide festival
Credits as composer/lyricist and writer include: Pickled, (central school of Speech and Drama), Cult! (The Other Palace), Clare Voyant (The Other Palace), Collaborations for award winning director/choreographer Drew McOnie and The McOnie company include: The Journey Song (Sadlers Wells), Making Midnight (Latitude Festival), Shine (Sadlers Wells), A Ballet with Love (The Royal Albert Hall) and Good Morning Midnight (The Jermyn Street Theatre). She is also an established solo artist, having toured the UK and played both Latitude and Wireless festivals after releasing her EP Feed Your Ego
She writes pop and sync music for The Prestigious Notting Hill Music and PIAS Records. She owns her own record label and forms half of production/songwriting partnership RobotCoffee.
She’s been tipped as ‘One to watch’ in the Sunday Times and her work ‘Different, fresh and Original’ by award winning composers Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer the Opera) and Grant Olding (One Man two Guvnors).
